Singletrack is a narrow trail approximately the width of the mountain bike, hiker, or trail runner.

The purpose of this site is to introduce and build support for the development of a natural surface multi-use trail (called singletrack) that meanders through the vast and inaccessible forested areas of Kingwood’s Bens Branch watershed.

The primary use for the trails will be mountain bike riding. Other uses include cross-country running, hiking, nature observation/education, and volunteer opportunities for individuals and organizations.

The singletrack trails will provide Kingwood residents with a woodland experience very different from the broad granite trails of East End Park; the narrow singletracks will provide up close interaction with nature.

There are numerous physical, physiological, and mental health/wellness benefits to experiencing nature in forested settings. The singletrack trail system will become a public health amenity for residents and put Kingwood on the map as a forward-thinking community.
